Wedding Plans

Wedding Season

You know the invitation to a wedding is coming in the mail and guests always want to look their best. You will see people you haven’t seen in a while and there will be pictures, plenty of pictures. The key is having a plan.

At Ohio Clinic for Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery, brides and their moms see us about a multitude of treatments and procedures from non-surgical treatments such as HydraFacials, Botox, Fillers and Coolsculpting, to surgical procedures to improve an area of concern that has always bothered them.

We treat every person individually and help you to customize a plan so that you will look and feel your best on the day of the big event. While we encourage people to really think about putting a beauty regime together a year prior to a wedding, there are still treatments that can be performed in the months and weeks before the celebration.

Face

Many mothers and yes, even fathers of the bride will see us about the facelift they always wanted or the baggy eyes they are tired of seeing in the mirror. We recommend that patients consider the healing time. Certainly, you can go out in public in the few weeks after a procedure, but full healing can take place up to a year after surgery, so scheduling sooner than later is recommended.

If non-surgical treatments for your face is desired, consider how long fillers and Botox last so that you can plan to be treated in the weeks or a month prior to the wedding. Radio-frequency treatments, which are all the rage right now have little to no downtime, however, the results are truly realized over time, so this procedure is recommended 3-6 months before the date of the event.

Our para medical aesthetician can help you plan a schedule for your skin which can include facial peels, HydraFacial, a Rezenerate facial, dermaplaning, brow wax, brow tinting and Microblading. One will always see beautiful results and improved skin texture with a customized series of treatments.

Body

Let’s face it, you want to look amazing in your dress (or suit!) Perhaps, you have considered liposuction, or a tummy tuck and breast lift. Body procedures offer people a new sense of confidence in how they look. The confidence shows. Much like the facial surgical procedures, a patient needs to schedule and receive their surgery well ahead of their wedding or special event. And, similar to facial procedures, you will be able to resume many normal activities in the weeks that follow, but body procedures involve swelling and inflammation that can take several months to fully subside. A will need to give their bodies time for this full healing.

Coolsculpting is a non-surgical fat freezing treatment that has little to know downtime, but it can create mild swelling too and for this reason, should be scheduled in the months ahead.
