Modern Anesthesia for Cosmetic Surgery

One of the things prospective patients always ask about is anesthesia. And they should.

Anesthesia is an important and necessary part of cosmetic plastic surgery to create a comfortable experience for the patient.

All procedures performed at Ohio Clinic for Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery are done using some form of anesthesia. There are three types:

Accredited Surgical Facility

Where you receive your cosmetic surgery and who is providing the anesthesia is very important.

At Ohio Clinic, our Quad A accredited surgical facility is called Surgiplex. This accreditation assures patients undergoing surgery receive a comparable level of care and safety preparedness as those receiving care in a hospital. This includes anesthesia. Our facility has met the rigorous standards in this area to offer a safe anesthesia experience.

Ohio Clinic’s anesthesia team of providers include MDs (Medical Doctors) and CRNAs (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists) whose sole job is to provide a safe and pain-free surgical experience.

Modern anesthesia has come a long way with techniques designed to provide a safe anesthesia experience with minimal risk.

Dr. Michael Wojtanowski’s Take

The decision on anesthesia is customized to the procedure you are receiving. This will be discussed in detail with you and Dr. Wojtanowski prior to your surgery.

“There are certain procedures that require general anesthesia,” says Dr. Michael Wojtanowski, medical director or Ohio Clinic for Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery.” It is a routine part of cosmetic surgery and is performed with patients’ safety and comfort in mind.”

When you consider cosmetic surgery, ease any anesthesia anxiety by asking lots of questions.
