Why is winter skin different?

Indoor heat, cold air and wind absorb a tremendous amount of moisture from the skin leaving it dry and dull.

How do we approach winter skin from a product standpoint?

Adding extra moisture in the winter is crucial for keeping the skin hydrated and looking healthy. For dry skin types switching to a creamy cleanser and using a more emollient face cream in addition to a hyaluronic acid serum is beneficial.

For oily skin types consider applying a hyaluronic acid hydrating serum under an oil free moisturizer. Also balance out “active products.”

Remember also do not wash with hot water which removes needed hydration. Warm water is best!!

How do we keep it hydrated without irritating or breaking out?

There are different products for each skin type and condition. Using the correct products on the skin is very important for keeping the skin balanced. Schedule a consultation with your aesthetician to make sure you are on the appropriate winter skin regimen.

Are peels safe to do in the winter?

Yes! Winter is a great time to do peels for correcting skin issues and maintaining good skin health. With the damaging UV rays not as strong, it's a great time to work on bettering your skin.
